The HR Generalist will manage daily human resources operations, by acting as a liaison between management and employees.(50) They will manage a broad range of tasks including employee relations, management coaching, benefits administration, performance management, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. In addition, this position is responsible for leave management, reviewing and approving payroll, and administrating the HRIS system. This role reports to the Works at the Executive Director.

What Youll Do:
Benefits and Compensation:
- Primary contact with benefits broker to review plans, coverages, vendor options, and costs. Recommend changes to Executive Director as needed.
- Liaison with all benefit vendors to administer all employee benefit programs and to assist with any employee related questions and actions.
Compliance and Policies:
- Ensure compliance to meet various federal, state, and local regulations with HR policies.
- Maintain employee handbook. Provide updates and recommendations to Executive
Employee Relations:
- Address employee questions, mediate conflicts, and manage disciplinary actions.
- Provide coaching discussions with supervisors and managers.
- Coordinate any all employee training.
- Complete any employment verification requests
Payroll:
- Review all payroll that is processed by the Fiscal Department and provide written approval for final submission.
- Coordinate employee changes with Payroll (not self-service items) with Employee Change Form.
- Coordinate with Payroll if any new locations or states are needed to be set up.
- Direct Payroll on the annual 457B contribution.
What Youll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree preferred but will substitute work experience for degree. Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources related experience.
- Exceptional people skills and strong organizational skills.
- Works well in a team management model.
- Knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements.
- General knowledge of payroll.
- Computer knowledge including Microsoft office software and HRIS systems.
