This is a direct hire opportunity.The Human Resources Professional will lead and support the planning, coordination, and implementation of HR policies and initiatives to align with the organization's mission, strategy, and compliance standards. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with leadership to understand organizational goals and align HR initiatives with overall business strategy.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and talent management processes to attract and retain top talent.
Administer human resources programs including compensation, benefits, leave administration, disciplinary actions, investigations, performance management, and health & safety.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files, records, and documentation.
Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, and procedures to reflect current regulations and company direction.
Support payroll processing by approving timesheets and coordinating with accounting teams.
Conduct research and analysis of HR trends and present findings and recommendations to leadership.
Serve as a resource for managers and employees for HR-related questions, support, and issue resolution.
Coordinate annual open enrollment and communicate benefit program changes effectively.
Oversee or assist with departmental budgeting, internal reporting, and HRIS data management.
Maintain positive relationships with external vendors and assist in managing client partnerships (as needed for staff augmentation projects).
May recruit, hire, train, and supervise HR administrative staff.
Oversee day-to-day workflow of HR functions.
Provide performance feedback and support ongoing employee development.
Address disciplinary actions and terminations in accordance with company policies.
Flexibility to attend meetings, training sessions, and events in evenings or on weekends as required.
Travel (significant notice provided) to South Bend office 2-3 times a month.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Master's degree preferred.
HR leadership experience preferred.
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification highly preferred.

4-7 years
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
3-5+ years of progressive HR experience
Strong understanding of employment law, HR compliance, and personnel management.
Experience with payroll, benefits administration, and policy implementation.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of an organization.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
High level of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
