Supervises a large Maintenance team made up of Mechanical and Electrical (Automation) Technicians,Wastewater, and Lull Operators working with all business lines, logistics, and QA.Manages the work and activities of maintenance team leaders, staff, and external resources within aplant so that repair and service activities are completed according to quality standards, accurately,safely, and on-time.Manages, plans, prioritizes, and schedules maintenance activities (e.g. preventive and curativemaintenance programs, shutdowns, or emergency repairs) to optimize OEE, rectify breakdowns andmalfunctions and minimize business disruptions.Owns sustain & improve projects locally. Participates actively on larger investment projects affectingthe plant.Ensures that the assets are maintained in a manner that lowers total cost, and capital is effectively usedand managed. Identifies risks concerning critical spares and BCP and ensures action plans are in place tomitigate risk and exposure.Develops and implements repair and maintenance procedures and manages maintenance systeminformation; monitors the cost and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources, prioritizes spending,and achieves timeliness, reliability, and safety standards. Ensures availability of resources and capacity.Responsible for maintenance spare partsConducts root cause failure analysis (RCFA), and failure mode effect analysis (FMEA) during multiplehours of downtime or failure of an asset. Implements corrective actions and looks for continuousimprovement activities to reduce downtime and extend the life of key assets.Researches, evaluates, and recommends new maintenance equipment and tools to enhance thecapabilities of the maintenance team.Evaluates, selects, and manages relationships with external contractors to increase efficiencies(minimize costs) and ensures the organization receives satisfactory standards of service. Develops andsets repair standards, specifications, and audits / inspections of repaired equipment or services.Manages and controls maintenance costs according to budget. Updates maintenance cost forecastOwns the plant wide work order computer system ? CMMS. Responsible for equipment history, workorder planning, scheduling, and preventative maintenance tasks as well as predictive maintenance tasksall documented within the CMMS program utilized by the entire plant.
