SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible for all laser cutting activity and training.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Authorities:
To stop work and request additional information from Management, Sales or Customers.

Initiate and Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions.
Project Managers possess absolute authority to immediately stop work anywhere in the facility to prevent violations and/or any non-conformance.
To control or limit access to the facility by anyone not employed by the company.
Initiate NCR reports for any non-conformance.
To stop the execution of any unsafe act or any act that violates the companies Safety program.
Responsibilities:
Know and apply the company Quality Policy.
Adhere to all guidelines and safety regulations set forth in the Employee Handbook.
Attend weekly Departmental status meetings.
Working hours: 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM
Skills:
some Technical School preferred but not required
2+ years of experience on Mazak, Trumpf, Amada or similar CNC laser cutting machines.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Accurately record time in ERP for work performed
Perform typical laser cutting operations
Adjust laser beam focal point
Make proper set-ups, including fixtures (if required) for cutting operations
Perform prescribed maintenance as required
Perform all dimensional inspections
Solid background working with sheet metal.
Proven measurement and mathematical fraction/decimal conversion skills.
Ability to distinguish material types including Steel, A36, SSAB, Grade50, Stainless
Steel and other types of metals.
Flexible schedule is required; this position requires shift work as well as overtime
and weekend work from time to time.
Candidate has to be a team player.
Candidate has to be reliable.
Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
Perform other related operations as required or directed. May work at different workstations as production needs require
