Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
As a Machine Setup Technician, you are the engine behind our production efficiency. You will be responsible for the technical setup and operation of manufacturing equipment to meet rigorous quality standards and production schedules.
Equipment Setup & Operation: Set up and run machinery to meet target rates and product specifications.
Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve production issues by adjusting processes; escalate complex mechanical problems to maintenance.
Maintenance & Optimization: Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and continuously improve machine run conditions for maximum efficiency.
Quality Control: Utilize measurement tools (calipers, micrometers) to ensure adherence to ISO and SPC standards.
Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of setup procedures, production output, and material handling tasks.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in Lean Six Sigma initiatives and foster a collaborative, safe work environment.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for a mechanically-inclined professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Technical Aptitude: Strong mechanical ability and a knack for troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills:
Technical Tools: Proficiency with precision measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers).
Computer Literacy: Ability to learn and adapt to production software and digital logs.
Mathematics: Strong basic math skills and the ability to comprehend SPC/ISO components.
Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Education: Post-secondary schooling in a related technical field is a plus.
