The Manufacturing Engineering Technician is a hands-on role and performs a variety of activities to support our production operations. In this role, the Manufacturing Engineering Technician is responsible for improving manufacturing processes, troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining documentation, and ensuring that all production equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Optimize production processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality using Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
Provide hands-on assistance for troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic equipment failures.
Diagnose and resolve technical problems with manufacturing equipment and production processes.
Coordinate, troubleshoot, and assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and calibrations to minimize downtime.
Create and maintain detailed production procedures, work instructions, and visual aids (e.g., SOPs, assembly drawings).
Update technical documents including work instructions, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Assist engineers with the design, installation, and testing of new manufacturing tools, jigs, fixtures, and equipment; design for manufacturing.
Collaborate with teams to inspect products, analyze non-conformances, and implement corrective actions.
Collect and analyze production data to assist in data-driven decisions regarding workflows, layout, and efficiency.
Train production personnel on new processes, equipment, work methods, and machinery safety protocols.
Utilize lean manufacturing skills for materials and production outsource.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field. 2 - 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment is desired.Technical Proficiency with programing and operation of Bystronics laser machinery is highly desired.
Experience with Nesting Software "INCELL" of BI-SOFT preferred.
Proficiency in CAD software (i.e. AutoCAD or SolidWorks) and familiarity with ERP systems.
Skilled in using precision measurement tools like calipers, torque wrenches, and basic hand or power tools.
Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Precise measurement and accurate record-keeping are critical for valid engineering results.
Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, 5S, and root cause analysis.
Clearly explain technical issues and recommend improvements for other team members.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for team collaboration.
