Perform MIG welding on a variety of metal components according to blueprints, drawings, and fabrication specifications

Responsibilities:
Fit, tack, and weld assemblies with accuracy and consistency
Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, saws, torches, and measuring tools
Inspect welds for quality, structural integrity, and adherence to shop standards
Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
Work closely with supervisors and fabricators to meet daily production goals
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Follow all OSHA, shop safety, and PPE requirements
Assist with additional fabrication tasks as needed (cutting, prepping, finishing)
Working hours: 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM
Skills:
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Standing, bending, and working on feet for extended periods
Working in a fabrication shop environment with heat, noise, and metalwork
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
Specialty or custom fabrication background
Stainless steel or aluminum welding
Experience with TIG welding
Forklift or overhead crane operation
Education:
No Degree Required
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
2+ years of MIG welding experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
Ability to weld in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical)
Understanding of metal preparation, weld settings, and heat control
Experience with jigs, fixtures, and custom fabrication setups
Ability to read blueprints and tape measures accurately
Must pass a weld test
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
