Position Details
Location: Broussard, LA
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Compensation: $20/hr, depending on experience
Employment Type: This is a temp-to-hire position, with the potential for direct hire for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration
Process payroll data, including hours worked, deductions, and leave balances.
Enter and review data in our payroll systems to ensure accuracy.
Maintain comprehensive payroll records and generate reports for taxes, garnishments, and benefits.
Handle payroll tax filings and process garnishment orders.
Monitor leave accruals and ensure compliance with federal and state wage laws.
Human Resources Support
Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, resolving issues with discretion and professionalism.
Assist with the company's FAA DOT Drug and Alcohol testing program.
Manage the full employee lifecycle, from new hire onboarding to processing unemployment claims and updating employee data.
Ensure all personnel records are accurate and compliant.
Assist with employment verifications, I-9 compliance, and HR file audits.
Support various HR initiatives, including policy development and process improvement projects.
Working hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
An associate's degree or certificate from a technical school, or at least six months of relevant experience.
HR certification (HRCI or SHRM) is strongly preferred.
Solid understanding of payroll compliance, employment law, and HR best practices.
