Responsibilities:
As the Plant Manager, you will be a hands-on leader responsible for a wide range of operational duties. Your primary goal will be to establish and optimize our production processes while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Operational Leadership: Monitor all plant operations and processes, overseeing daily floor activities, managing scheduling for a fully operational team, and optimizing productive time by eliminating unnecessary processes.
Strategic Growth: Develop and implement strategies to increase productivity and production. You will be responsible for preparing operating reports and budgets, analyzing production metrics to identify areas for improvement, and reporting on expenses to reduce costs.
Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety regulations and ensuring all compliance needs are met. You will also coordinate maintenance and repairs to ensure a safe working environment and uphold all legal, company, and local/state health and safety regulations.
Team Management: Oversee all aspects of hiring and training new employees. You will be responsible for mentoring and leading staff, practicing conflict resolution, and fostering strong communication across all levels of the organization.
Skills:
Advanced Degree: A Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field is preferred.
Process Improvement Methodologies: Experience with methodologies like Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is a significant asset.
Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, including experience with budgeting, cost reduction, and financial reporting, are highly valued.
ERP Systems: Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP or Oracle.
Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelors degree in a related field such as Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or Business Administration.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a supervisory or management position within a manufacturing or production environment.
Leadership and Management: Strong leadership, team-building, and conflict-resolution skills are crucial.
Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of manufacturing processes, production equipment, and industry-specific regulations.
Safety and Compliance: In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
Computer Literacy: Proficiency with computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
