The Plant Manager is the senior leader responsible for the comprehensive oversight and strategic direction of the Long Beach manufacturing facility. This role focuses specifically on the high-volume production of plastic bottles requiring expertise in blow molding/extrusion processes and strict adherence to food-grade quality standards. The manager is accountable for all operational aspects, including production efficiency, regulatory compliance (especially food safety), financial performance, safety, and leadership of the plant workforce.

Responsibilities:
Lead and optimize all daily production activities, specifically focusing on blow molding/extrusion processes to maximize efficiency (OEE) and minimize scrap using Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Champion the plant's Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs (GMP, HACCP, SQF) to ensure strict regulatory compliance for food contact packaging.
Develop, control, and execute the plant's budget, managing costs, capital expenditures, and providing financial performance reports.
Oversee all EHS programs, ensuring a zero-incident work environment compliant with Cal/OSHA and all environmental regulations.
Hire, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of management and production staff, fostering a culture of accountability and development.
Working hours: 5:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Skills:
Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with HDPE or PET resin handling and processing.
Experience managing operations within a unionized environment.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 3+ years of progressive management experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting
Direct experience with plastic blow molding or extrusion processes.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Industrial, Mechanical), Operations Management, or a closely related technical field or the equivalent experience
Demonstrated expertise in implementing and enforcing certified food safety systems (HACCP, GMP, and SQF/BRC).
Strong proficiency in using ERP systems, managing OEE tracking, and utilizing data analysis tools for process optimization.
