The Procurement Supervisor is responsible for the development of the overall purchasing strategy and action planning globally for the company. They will report to the Customer Service/Export Specialist and work closely with key personnel to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies in order to ensure quality of services and significant cost reductions.Responsibilities:- Development of the overall purchasing strategy and translate the purchasing strategy into concrete actions plans- Work closely with key personnel to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies in order to ensure quality of services and significant cost reductions- Ensure that the needs of the sites are effectively represented in the purchasing strategies and to achieve this must work closely with the site management- Control and optimize resources to meet objectives and deliver agreed results while working closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure that sourcing strategies are implemented and function well- Track and report savings, support procure-to-pay process improvement; monitor Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) improvement- Enhance the relationship with suppliers in an innovative way to realize cost saving potentials- Manage negotiation process, content and results to define the desired outcome of a negotiation- Identify stakeholders, understand and interpret their current and future needs, and manage their expectations- Build very good rapport with suppliers and obtain access to senior supplier leadership- Collaborate strongly with relevant company departments to ensure understanding and compliance with key purchasing strategies- Develop budgets and targets based on aggressive, well founded, realistic, forward-oriented goals- Ensure that financial resource allocation is cost-effective and aligned with strategic and operational plans- Provide periodic and ad hoc reporting and forecasting on performance against plan and potential in following up on KPIs and reporting on trends- Ensure appropriate flow of information regarding supplier economicsWorking hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:- Experience in establishing and negotiating supplier contracts and agreements- Experience in project management- Experience in finding vendors and ordering parts to manage supply chain- Excellent interpersonal and communication skillEducation:BachelorsExperience:7-10 yearsQualifications:- Bachelors degree in related discipline required - MBA preferred- 8+ years of related experience required - agricultural and/or laboratory experience preferred Apply via the Apply button in the top right hand corner today!Spherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
