      Spherion is working with a plastic injection molding company in Freeport, IL. to help identify a 1st shift Set Up Injection Molding Position to join their highly skilled internal team! This Direct Hire opportunity offers a competitive wage for a skilled Set Up Technician who will be recognized by a company that's been in business for many years! If this is your direction and skill set - keep reading!Responsibilities:- Incoming pay rates are negotiable based on knowledge and experience.- Occasionally, times may vary - Overtime is available and occasionally required- New hire reviews at 90-days from the start date!- Performance reviews conducted on work anniversaries each year!Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)Skills:- Reduce machine down-time by overseeing adherence to preventative maintenance schedule. - Ensure that all aspects of production functions smoothly in order to meet customer requirements and expectations while meeting Company's expected daily productivity goals.- Ensures that the production process runs smoothly, and that information is maintained, adjusted as needed and communicated on an ongoing basis. Follows production schedule.- Efficiently takes action in overall maintenance process when repairs are necessary - Performs preventative maintenance and takes preventative action before problems occur.- Contributes to major projects such as facility modifications, machine/mold installations etc.--Monitors production lines in molding and assembly for output. Take appropriate action when the line output is not met. - Relieves operators for breaks and lunch when necessary.- Participate in ensuring total facility and manufacturing, safety, and housekeeping regulations. - Maintain a 100% accuracy level on control of inventory both raw material and finished goods and make recommendations for improvements where necessary.- Operate the forklift and pallet jacks safely and successfully.- Monitor inventory levels for storage and space and routinely communicate status of storage situation to management.- Competent in utilizing and maintaining in-house control systems. Using manual systems, like packing list and bill of lading. Manually file and log all information in shipping/receiving log book. - Manages inventory in such a way that it is correctly labeled, accurately counted and neatly stored in the appropriate area of the facility. Manage the order stock using the "First In First Out" method.- Use a variety of hand and bench tools and processing equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.- Follows work instructions, process books and Quality procedure for performance.- Ensure all documentation is completed consistently, accurately and timely on an on-going basis.Education:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:- This position will require ongoing walking, sitting, standing and handling of production piece parts. - Lifting of product, boxes, skids is required - The individual must be able to work under the pressure of time.
