Our client, a leading baked goods manufacturer, is seeking experienced Quality Control Technicians to join their growing team. As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the baked goods meet the highest standards of quality and safety. From conducting sensory tests to monitoring environmental conditions and enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), you will be responsible for maintaining excellence throughout the production process. Previous QA experience in a food manufacturing setting is a requirement for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Perform sensory tests (taste, texture, and visual checks) on baked goods to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Review, confirm, and validate all raw ingredient specifications.
- Take product temperatures during and after baking, as well as during cooling, to verify compliance with specifications.
- Monitor freezer and cooler temperatures to ensure proper storage conditions.
- Conduct environmental tests using swab tests and handheld devices, and record results accurately.
- Log all quality control data into the computer system and maintain thorough records.
- Ensure compliance with GMP by monitoring employee practices, such as hygiene, handwashing, and proper attire.
- Verify correct packaging and labeling of products and batter, including weight checks and label accuracy.
- Conduct random checks on batter weights and product temperatures to maintain consistency.
- Validate the metal detector calibrations and verify the accuracy of scales, thermometers, and other equipment used in production.
- Perform clean area checks and monitor sanitation practices to prevent contamination.
- Address and resolve quality issues promptly, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Enforce first in, first out (FIFO) rotation policy for raw materials and finished products.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

- Thorough understanding of QA, GMP, HACCP, OSHA, and SQF regulations.
- Proficient computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
