In this critical role, the Robotic Weld Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving robotic welding systems used in the production of heavy-duty material handling equipment. Responsibilities:
- Operate welding equipment as directed by the supervisor.
- Program and configure robotic welding systems for the efficient production of material handling equipment.
- Partner with engineering and production teams to enhance the performance and layout of robotic work cells.
- Conduct regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of robotic and automation systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Accurately document robotic procedures, modifications, and system updates.
- Identify and implement process improvements in line with lean manufacturing principles.
- Ensure all robotic operations adhere to safety protocols and meet internal and regulatory standards.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support production goals.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
- Hands-on experience in programming and operating robotic welders, preferably FANUC systems.
- Skilled in manual wire-feed welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and mechanical blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiar with safety and compliance standards including OSHA and ANSI/RIA guidelines.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Cooperative and adaptable in team settings.
