• Contract, estimated through November 2025
• Pay rate: $20-$30/hr
• Remote position: Must be able to commute to Madison, WI as needed

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate risk and develop pricing strategies for large group fully-insured health plans
• Analyze claims and utilization data to inform renewal and new business decisions
• Apply underwriting guidelines to assess financial risk and ensure profitability
• Collaborate with sales and account management teams to align pricing with client goals
• Prepare and present underwriting analysis to internal and external stakeholders
• Support responses to RFPs and ensure timely, accurate deliverables
• Stay informed on market trends and competitor positioning

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3 to 5 years of underwriting experience required, preferably in commercial health insurance
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with large group pricing and renewal strategy preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities
• Must be located within commuting distance to Minnetonka, MN or Madison, WI
