Our Madison based manufacturing client is growing and adding a Senior Financial Analyst to their team. They manufacture medical grade equipment and are seeking the talents of a finance person to support their accounting and finance functions for their manufacturing plant. This includes forecasting, reporting, month-end closing, account reconciliations, and compliance with GAAP and SOX. They will be supporting another plant overseas so multinational experience is required. What You'll Do:
- Assist in month-end closing and ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
- Analyze month end and quarter end accrual balances to determine appropriate reserves in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
- Work with department leads to forecast and review monthly spending to help manage spend control.
- Support financial activities in manufacturing.
- Prepare and/or review monthly account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts ensuring financial records are maintained in compliance with company policy.
- Review, investigate, and resolve accounting errors, discrepancies, and reconciling items.
- Special projects and create ad-hoc reports and analysis as required.
- Assist with overall SOX compliance program for general accounting.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent
- 4+ years financial analyst experience, including working in a multinational company environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (especially MS Excel).
- Working knowledge of GAAP and SOX is required.
- Experience working with an ERP system; Oracle a plus.
- Must reside within a commutable distance to Madison, WI. This is not a remote role
- Previous experience working with Hyperion and Tablo desired.
