Spherion is seeking a detail-oriented, full-time Service Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a reputable client in the industrial equipment industry. This role will support the service department with administrative tasks related to purchasing, billing, and record keeping.
Responsibilities:
Purchasing & Accounts Payable Support

Verify accuracy of purchase orders and vendor receipts (created by the Service Manager)
Enter vendor receipts and bills into QuickBooks
Maintain and update a daily spreadsheet as orders are received
Note: This role does not perform actual payables processing
Service & Parts Billing
Review customer invoices for accuracy, including proper application of sales tax
Distribute finalized invoices to customers
Ensure thorough attention to detail???this is the most critical part of the role
Note: Customer invoices will be created by others, not the Service Clerk
General Support
Provide administrative assistance to the service department as needed
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of QuickBooks
Familiarity with purchasing processes, parts inventory, and the industrial equipment industry is preferred
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software
Must be a non-smoker
Ability to adapt in a growing and changing role
