The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing precision-machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery, including Okuma and Tsugami machines. You will also oversee daily shop operations, maintain meticulous records, and ensure equipment is properly maintained. This role requires a commitment to quality and safety, all within a clean, climate-controlled environment.
Responsibilities:
Review and interpret engineering plans, schematics, and work orders.
Analyze materials and dimensions to plan the manufacturing process.
Set up and program mills and lathes, including the installation of tools and other components.
Load raw materials into the machines.
Troubleshoot and maintain equipment to ensure smooth and safe operation.
Conduct inspections during production to ensure parts meet specifications.
Assist with managing tooling and inventory.
Oversee daily operations and contribute to process improvements.
Perform manual machining tasks as needed, such as operating lathes and mills.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Skills:
Prior experience leading shop operations or supervising a small team.
Familiarity with raw materials, production processes, and quality control.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a machine shop environment.
Proficiency in CNC programming and operating shop machinery.
Strong attention to detail.
Familiarity with controls, instrumentation, and quality assurance processes.
Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, blueprints, and specifications
