Office with Decades of Staffing Expertise Now Under New Ownership

BUTTE, Mont. – Spherion Staffing and Recruiting (Spherion) announced today that the Butte office is now under the new leadership of Jimmy and Lorena Wallace. The Wallaces took over ownership responsibilities on August 1 from former franchisee Kathy and Fred Henningsen.

“After years of wanting to pursue business ownership, we came across the opportunity to join Spherion and made an instant connection with their team. Both Lorena and I have backgrounds in management and HR, so we know we’re prepared for success,” said Jimmy. “Kathy has been endlessly supportive, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves into the work and create a seamless transition for both employees and clients. It truly feels like it was meant to be, and we are looking forward to serving the Butte community.”

Jimmy and Lorena both bring more than 30 years of professional experience to support the Spherion Butte office. Jimmy held various management positions within the dairy industry and also spent two years teaching high school English. Lorena, on the other hand, spent 30 years working in human resources in the retail, banking and industrial industries. Both are passionate about growing the business through seeking out talented employees and have the dedication and knowledge to continue matching jobseekers with viable positions in Butte.

“We’ve spent a lot of time with Jimmy and Lorena over the past several months, getting to know their plans and goals for Spherion,” said Henningsen. “It’s been an honor to serve the Butte community and help connect so many candidates with meaningful career opportunities over the past 28 years. I’m confident that the Wallaces have the passion and knowledge to uphold that reputation.”

As a former high school teacher, Jimmy also knows how to generate excitement for work in younger generations and believes in teaching career readiness. He and Lorena plan to visit the local high school through ME Inc., a Spherion program that teaches high school students job preparedness and gives students real-world knowledge prior to entering the workforce.

“Kathy’s dedication to Spherion and her service to the Butte community has been exemplary,” said Rebecca Rogers Tijerino, president of Spherion. “Now, as she passes the baton to Jimmy and Lorena, we know they share incredible passion and drive for creating a positive impact in the local workforce. Spherion Butte is in very capable hands and we’re thrilled to welcome Jimmy & Lorena to the Spherion community.”

Spherion brandishes the power of local through a network of independent and empowered franchisees like Jimmy and Lorena Wallace. Each Spherion franchisee enriches their communities by connecting and facilitating employment opportunities every day—and when they’re successful together, their investments flow back into the neighborhoods where they live and work. The power of Spherion is in its local roots.

The Spherion Butte office will remain open at the current location of 1015 A South Montana in Butte. Sandra Anderson will continue as office coordinator.
