Spherion Staffing and Recruiting in Central and Coastal Florida Donates 180 Backpacks to Local Students

Annual Back-to-School Giveback Program Supports Six Florida Elementary Schools with More Than $2,000 in School Supplies

LAKELAND, Fla. – Spherion Staffing and Recruiting (Spherion) is helping 180 students across Central and Coastal Florida head back to school with new backpacks and supplies through its annual Back-to-School Giveback Program. Now in its fifth year, the initiative supported six elementary schools across the region, with each local Spherion office working directly with school partners to provide items based on the students’ needs.

Over the program’s five-year history, Spherion’s Central and Coastal Florida teams have donated more than 900 backpacks to students. This year alone, Spherion invested at least $2,000 in backpacks and student supplies, while local teams also collected and donated additional classroom essentials for teachers and staff. These efforts reflect Spherion’s broader commitment to investing in the communities it serves in support of the future of work.

This year’s participating Spherion offices and school partners included:

• Lakeland - North Lakeland Elementary
• Leesburg - Leesburg Elementary
• Naples - Osceola Elementary
• Sarasota - Emma E. Booker Elementary
