ATLANTA – Spherion Staffing and Recruiting (Spherion) is giving back this holiday season with its annual Community Giveback Program. Throughout the holiday season, Spherion’s local offices are distributing more than $165,000 to nonprofit organizations that are bettering the hundreds of local communities our employees call home.
The Community Giveback Program, which is in its eighth year, launched on Giving Tuesday. The campaign aims to amplify the missions of nonprofit organizations that create positive change in local communities through monetary and volunteer contributions. Each of Spherion’s offices will be donating a total of $1,000 (or greater) to select nonprofit organizations. Some staff have also chosen to fundraise locally, increase their donations, or volunteer their time to make a greater impact. As a fun twist on the program, a few Spherion teams are letting their local communities choose which charity should receive the largest donation, but guarantee something to all organizations involved.

Spherion’s Community Giveback Program began in 2014 and has donated more than $1 million to nonprofits nationwide. The charities vary in size, scope and cause, and are selected based on each organization’s ongoing efforts to create change in its local community. Some organizations that will receive contributions include the American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, and Boys & Girls Clubs of America, along with local food banks, schools and animal shelters. Aside from monetary donations, Spherion locations across the country partner with and volunteer their time with a wide variety of these organizations.
