Staffing and Recruiting Business Expands Reach to Help Job Seekers in Southern Texas

LAREDO, Texas – Spherion Staffing and Recruiting (Spherion) announced today the opening of its newest office in Laredo. 

Located at 216 W. Village Blvd., Suite 102, the office will officially open on July 31 to help match local job seekers in the Laredo community with new employment opportunities. This Spherion location will focus on placements in office clerical, administrative, warehousing and manufacturing positions. The local owners are Vicki Koon and Sol Melton, who also own Spherion offices in Brownsville, McAllen, Temple and Waco.

With more than 43 years of experience working within the staffing and recruiting industry across Texas, Koon will bring her advanced skillset and extensive knowledge of the local job market to Spherion Laredo to help catapult the growth of the dynamic community. Melton has worked in the staffing and recruiting industry for nearly 20 years. He first joined the business in 2004 as the branch manager of Spherion Temple before becoming co-owner alongside Koon in 2015. 

Today, Koon and Melton are highly involved in the communities their offices serve as members of local organizations, including the South Texas Manufacturing Association, economic development groups and local chambers of commerce. They look forward to extending their involvement within the Laredo community by joining local businesses and charitable organizations.
