Established Staffing and Recruiting Expert Brings Fresh Perspective to Oxnard Employment Agency

OXNARD, Calif.—Spherion Staffing and Recruiting (Spherion) announced today that its Oxnard office is now under the leadership of local staffing expert Greg Forrest. Forrest will assume ownership of the office as of October 2.

Forrest’s more than two decades of experience in the staffing industry stem from his time as a division director at Robert Half Technology and later as a founder of Ampro Staffing. Most recently, he served as the president and general manager of TEMP UNLIMITED and worked across a variety of industries that are also growing in Oxnard. Forrest also plans to become involved with a number of local organizations in the community alongside his continued support of the Sierra Madre Community Nursery, Boys & Girls Clubs of Pasadena and Pasadena YES (Youth, Education and Sports) organizations.

“I’ve always enjoyed connecting people with the right opportunities that fit their needs, whether that be clients or candidates,” said Forrest. “Setting others up to succeed is why I got into the staffing industry, and I’m delighted to have the opportunity to continue the incredible work that Trish has started in this community.”

Spherion Oxnard (previously Spherion Ventura) joined the brand’s franchise network in 2007 and came under the local ownership of Trish Miller, who has cultivated a more than 35-year career in the staffing and recruiting industry, in 2012. Miller will be heavily involved in ensuring a seamless transition of ownership to Forrest and will continue to operate her two additional offices in Goleta and Salinas.

“As I shift my focus to supporting my offices that serve Monterey County and Greater Santa Barbara, I couldn’t have asked for a better successor than Greg,” said Miller. “I was looking for someone who had as much experience, wisdom, and enthusiasm for the industry as I did, and I found all of that and more. Greg’s fresh perspective and commitment to serving both job seekers and businesses in Oxnard is admirable. I can’t wait to see how he implements his industry insight to positively impact the community.”

“Greg’s extensive experience within the staffing and recruiting industry combined with his business ownership skillset makes him an ideal choice to grow the Oxnard office,” said Rebecca Rogers Tijerino, group president of Spherion. “I have no doubt that he will continue to build upon the brand’s reputation as a true community partner to both job seekers and business owners alike, and we look forward to supporting him along the way.”

Each Spherion office enriches its community by connecting and facilitating employment opportunities every day—and when successful, the office and its investments flow back into the neighborhoods it serves. The power of Spherion is in its local roots.
