Local Entrepreneur Opening Recruiting and Staffing Office to Meet Regional Labor Demand

WORCESTER, Mass. – Spherion Staffing and Recruiting announced today it will open its newest office in the Worcester area, located at 48 Sword Street in Auburn. Under the ownership of local entrepreneur Brian Palaia, the office is set to open in early May and will focus on filling temporary, temporary-to-hire and direct hire roles in sectors including transportation, manufacturing, non-clinical healthcare, administrative, clerical, business and financial operations.

“Having worked my entire career to date in city operations, I have always been dedicated to ensuring the local community has the support it needs to flourish,” said Palaia. “I was always most passionate about the hiring process, and when I met with the Spherion team, I was impressed by the business model and knew it’d be a great fit due to their service standards for both businesses and job seekers. Together with our excellent team, we can connect candidates in the Worcester community with positions that will help them meet their goals.”

Prior to business ownership with Spherion, Palaia spent his career as a city manager emphasizing economic development, managing the growth and operations of local communities. From his work with the local businesses, he developed a desire to open one of his own and began to explore the staffing industry. Palaia’s extensive knowledge of the local market and regional economy combined with his recruiting and hiring experience will help match candidates with top employment opportunities in the Worcester County area.

“The Worcester area workforce will greatly benefit from having Brian and his team leading their office with extensive professional and personal experience,” said Rebecca Rogers Tijerino, president of Spherion. “I have full confidence they will successfully drive careers and grow businesses, creating a long-lasting impact on both clients and candidates in the community.
