Work Schedule: Monday - Friday | 4:00pm - 12:30am
Responsibilities:
- Lead & Mentor: Directly manage and motivate a team of four operators, providing hands-on training and sharing your technical expertise to help the team hit production goals.
- Optimize Workflow: Monitor schedules to ensure orders are delivered on time and manage the flow of materials for maximum shop efficiency.
- Troubleshoot & Problem Solve: Work closely with CNC programmers to diagnose issues, eliminate part defects, and keep machine downtime to a minimum.
- Ensure Quality: Maintain high standards by inspecting finished products, documenting results, and assisting leadership with quality control initiatives.
- Safety First: Promote a safe work environment by following all guidelines and reporting any concerns to the Operations Manager.
- Stay Active: Handle the physical requirements of the shop, including bending, lifting, and operating a forklift to stage materials.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: A high school diploma or GED coupled with a solid background in a machine shop environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Extensive understanding of CNC operations, machine components, and tool maintenance.
- Communication Skills: The ability to clearly explain goals and give constructive feedback to your team, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong Character: A reliable professional with a great work ethic who stays organized even when things get fast-paced.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Education: A relevant technical certificate or degree is preffered.
- Leadership Background: Previous experience managing a team specifically within a machine shop preffered.
