What You'll Do
As a key member of the production team, you will bridge the gap between engineering designs and finished products. Your daily impact includes:
- Creating & Optimizing Programs: Developing and refining CNC programs and tooling strategies to keep manufacturing running smoothly.
- Problem Solving: Analyzing blueprints and job orders to calculate exact specifications for various components.
- Process Improvement: Participating in Lean manufacturing initiatives, conducting time studies, and designing custom jigs or fixtures to boost efficiency.
- Technical Support: Troubleshooting machine setups and resolving programming issues on the shop floor.
- Team Growth: Assisting with the recruitment and training of CNC shop employees to build a stronger workforce.
What We're Looking For
- Experience & Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering plus a technical diploma, OR 2-4 years of solid CNC programming experience.
- Technical Literacy: Strong ability to read blueprints and a firm grasp of GD&T.
- Precision: Proficiency with precision measuring tools and a background in a CNC machining environment.
- Analytical Mindset: A knack for troubleshooting and solving complex manufacturing puzzles.
Bonus Points (Preferred)
- Software Skills: Experience with Mastercam is highly preferred; knowledge of Visual Basic is a plus.
- Advanced Machining: Familiarity with 5-Axis Machining.
- Lean Knowledge: Experience with World-Class Manufacturing or Lean methodologies.
- Development: Prior experience with tooling or process development.
