Highlights:
- Direct Hire
- Pay rate: $18-26/hr.
- Schedule: Hours will vary between 8:00am and 7:00pm Monday-Friday and 8:00am-4:00pm on Saturdays
- Location: Belvidere, IL
Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials for procedures
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatments, including x-rays and charting
- Use Dentrix software for scheduling and documentation
- Fabricate dentry, polish chrome, and apply sealants (certification preferred)
- Educate patients on procedures, oral hygiene, and post-care
- Maintain cleanliness, sterilization, and compliance with health regulations
- Manage supplies and support front- and back-office efficiency
- Work independently while taking clear direction from the dental team
Qualifications:
- Experience in a family dental setting
- Coronal polishing certificate is a plus
- Completion of a Dental Assisting program preferred
- A strong, confident personality that works well both independently and in a team
- Ability to take direction and adapt to the needs of a fast-paced practice
- Dentrix experience is required
- X-ray certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
