The duties of a Junior Accountant typically include a range of responsibilities related to financial record-keeping, reconciliation, and support for various accounting tasks. Here are common duties associated with the role:
Bookkeeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, expenses, and revenue.
Expense reporting
Reconciliation:
Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts.
Ensure that all financial records align with external statements.
Deposit checks and record ACH & wire transfers
Account receivable/collection
Generate and process invoices for goods or services provided.
Record and process payments received from clients or customers
Update vendor records after receiving the Account Receivable remittances.
Monitor and categorize business expenses.
Ensure compliance with company policies and report any discrepancies.
Financial Reporting:
Assist in end-of-month reporting
Provide support for internal and external audits.
Calculate Payroll time cards
Monthly sales tax calculation

Education:
Bachelors
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years experience as an accountant or junior accountant
Previous experience in accounting or finance roles is a plus.
Familiarity with accounting software, especially Success, is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
