- Compiles information and records to prepare purchase orders for procurement of material.- Verifies nomenclature and specifications of purchase requests.- Searches inventory records or warehouse to determine if material on hand is in sufficientquantity.- Consults catalogs and interviews suppliers to obtain prices and specifications.- Creates purchase order in EPR System and sends copy to supplier and department originating request.- Compiles records of items purchased or transferred between departments, prices, deliveries, and inventories.- Computes total cost of items purchased.- Confers with suppliers concerning late deliveries.- May compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates and award contract to bidders. As specified at the direction of the Program Manager.- May verify bills from suppliers with bids and purchase orders and approve bills for payment.- May classify priority regulations.- Works with PIC Operations Manager, Shift Leads and others to ensure proper release of scheduled work orders.- Creates & tracks progress of schedule on a daily basis to ensure schedules are met.- Takes pro-active approach to update customer's orders with potential of going late.- Reviews internal capacity both short term and long term and load levels using RCCP.- Researches and corrects discrepant order information (variances) as well as maintains ERP system data integrity.- Aids in month end and year-end inventory processes.- Reviews process documentation (routing/bom, print, quality docs) for accuracy to meet customer requirements and inquires with the appropriate subject matter experts for clarification.- Maintains master shipping schedule.- Maintains forecast.- Attends Customer conference calls.- Accepts Customer purchase orders via Customer web portals.- Sets daily production schedule and assigns labor resources.- Reviews rough cut capacity plan and makes recommendations for labor adjustments.- Reviews customer demand and sets takt time for waterspiders and production cell.- Performs daily maintenance of work orders.- Ability to plan cross-site.

- APICS Certification is a major plus- Knowledge of Syteline ERP a major plus
- Two to three years of directly related experience in a manufacturing environment with multiple machines, cells and processes.- Must have thorough understanding of Material Requirements Planning systems, including appropriate techniques for their implementation. - Knowledge of inventory control, cycle-counting, and purchasing. - Must have thorough knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts as they relate to creation of optimum flow of materials and information. - Working knowledge of rough cut capacity planning, scheduling manufacturing cells and long term planning utilizing forecasts. - Must be a citizen of the United States.- Ability to work with multiple issues simultaneously.- Ability to apply logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual, analytical, and complex problems.- Ability to relate to people at all levels of the organization.- Ability to effectively present information to managers and staff.- Ability to empower staff to the highest level of quality and commitment to the organization.- Ability and familiarity with changing and maintaining an organizational culture which is client and Associate focused. - Must be able to model and lead others in a caring and fair manner.- Working knowledge of sales order entry, routing structures, BOM structures.
