Our client, a Condominium HOA in Goleta, is a thriving community committed to providing an exceptional living experience for its residents. They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bookkeeper to join their team and support the Community Manager and Board of Directors.
Responsibilities:
Our client has an immediate opening for a part-time, onsite Bookkeeper. This role offers fixed weekly hours in their Goleta office. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for comprehensive bookkeeping, reconciliations, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), government filings, financial reporting, and other related accounting functions.
Duties include:
Perform routine weekly entries for multiple banks, credit card, and vendor accounts using AppFolio property management software.
Post transactions and invoices for Accounts Payable (A/P) and reconcile approximately 10 bank, credit card, and revolving accounts.
Review and match deposits to 360 owner accounts, assess late fees, and send monthly reminder statements for Accounts Receivable (A/R).
Review and process weekly timesheets for approximately 10 employees and provide payroll detail to the payroll service provider and/or manager.
Collaborate with the manager and supervisor to allocate time and materials for jobs.
Maintain separate Operating and Reserve accounting.
Post periodic journal entries as needed.
Prepare annual Forms 1099.
Maintain general ledger to keep books up to date weekly using GAAP.
Prepare timely monthly financial reports for Board of Directors meetings.
Prepare and provide supporting documentation for government filings, audits, and tax preparation.
Working hours: Various Shifts Available
Skills:
Experience in construction or property management bookkeeping is ideal.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Bachelors
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
BS Degree in accounting, finance, or business, OR equivalent experience demonstrating proficiency in accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel is required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, specifically using AppFolio software.
