Responsibilities:
- Monitor and test pre-treatment and paint application processes, recording results, adjusting as needed, and keeping leadership informed.
- Oversee the waste treatment system, ensuring compliance with all national, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain and optimize the Reverse Osmosis water system to exceed quality expectations.
- Design and document efficient part loading, unloading, and paint tooling methods.
- Provide training and coaching to improve powder paint application techniques and processes.
- Analyze performance metrics (downtime, scrap rates, material efficiency) and implement solutions for continuous improvement.
- Maintain and calibrate quality testing equipment such as colorimeters, gloss meters, impact testers, and adhesion testers.
- Ensure proper chemical and material disposal per regulations.
Working hours: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable standing for extended periods
- Capable of climbing stairs and ladders
- Able to lift up to 60 pounds
Education:
No Degree Required
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- Two years of hands-on experience in powder paint processes, or equivalent project and process improvement experience.
- Proficient in paint/coating processing and principles, including pre-treatment, application, curing, waste and water treatment, and tooling manufacturing.
- Skilled in leading and managing multiple projects, with the ability to effectively train others.
- Competent in fundamental math and chemistry principles.
- Adept at problem investigation and resolution.
