Chico Spherion is in search of a proactive and technically knowledgeable Buyer to support procurement operations within our client's manufacturing division.
The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing raw materials, components, and production equipment/supplies, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing environments and a solid understanding of materials and supply chain dynamics.
Responsibilities:
Source and negotiate with suppliers of materials, components, and equipment.
Evaluate supplier capabilities, lead times, quality certifications, and pricing structures.
Prepare and issue purchase orders based on production schedules and inventory forecasts.
Monitor supplier performance to ensure consistency in quality, delivery, and service.
Maintain strong relationships with both domestic and international vendors.
Collaborate closely with R&D, engineering, and production teams to align purchasing decisions with technical and operational requirements.
Analyze market trends and global material availability.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Manage procurement documentation, track orders, and resolve discrepancies.
Support cost-reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing and process optimization.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Skills:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management engineering, chemistry, or a related field.
Experience with global sourcing and supplier audits.
Familiarity with Safety standards and regulations.
Certification in supply chain or procurement (e.g., CPSM, APICS, CIPS).

Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain within a manufacturing or related environment.
Understanding of materials used in production and supply chain challenges.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Sage/MAS 100, Net Suite, MES, Plex, KPA) and Microsoft Office tools recommended.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
