        Spherion has partnered with a fast paced Manufacturer seeking an experience PLC Technician/Electrician to join their team. This is a direct hire position offering $27/Hr (DOE), may be flexible.Installation and repair of electronics associated with machinery or mechanical equipment, specifically manufacturing machines and associated support machinery. Work involves the following: installation of electrical components, diagnose source(s) of trouble (troubleshooting), dismantle or assemble machines (partially or completely), and perform electrical, or electronic repairs as necessary. Replace broken or defective parts; report repairs needed or parts required to complete job assignments. Must have excellent knowledge of electrical trade functions(electronics, PLC?s) so maintenance can be successfully performed on all machines; requires extensive training and experience. Extensive knowledge of proper preventive maintenance requirements/processes. Knowledge of machine programming (ladder logic).The PLC Technician/Electrician is a skilled level position and will require a minimum of 480 hours of informal/formal training on the job. This training period will be spread over a minimum of 90 days and will additionally include safety and hazardous material handling training. Required to keep all production machinery in top operation condition at all times.Steel toed boots.         Quality Control I Color Departments Supervisor reports directly to the Operations Manager, receives direction from the Manufacturing Supervisor, and works closely with the Q.A. Lead Person. Must learn what is required and the responsibilities for inspecting the manufacturing process to assure that quality finished products are being produced; required to perform final inspection of parts in relationship to pre- established standards and procedures and specifications. Must learn and be able to communicate potential as well as real problem situations to supervisor, machine operators, racker operator, slurry operator, packaging machine operator, and lead person. All documentation required will be reviewed and presented by the QA Supervisor; all information to be properly written and completed in a timely manner.
