Primary responsibility is to assist the Controller and Accounting Department in daily business transactions in an efficient and productive manner.Assist in managing the company's financial records, including monthly closing procedures and financial statement preparation.Assist in managing the company's inventory, including physical counts and reconciliations.Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy in several areas of business management paperwork such as insurance renewals, license renewals, and asset lists.Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.Assist in general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.Assist in the implementation of financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP.Assist in the coordination of audits and other financial reviews.Maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise discretion in handling sensitive data.Continuously look for ways to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.Assist in special projects and other duties as assigned by the President, Operations Manager, Controller and other upper-management as needed.Ability and willingness to cross-train for AR and AP duties.

Mastery of accounting software (e.g. SAP, NetSuite, Quickbooks)
Minimum Qualifications and RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university.2+ years of relevant work experience in accounting.Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and QuickBooks (Desktop preferred).Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Great penmanship a must.Manage confidential information with discretion.Possess the ability and willingness to learn new technologies and applications as required.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
