Responsibilities:
- Review work assignments, special instructions and other documentation to facilitate planning of work
- Prepare surfaces for finishing to ensure a quality, durable finish (whether wood stains or paints) which meets established conformance requirements
- Priming surfaces with materials appropriate to the product line and performing final cleaning, washing and sanding of primed areas prior to painting
- Communicating with Lead or Production Manager regarding any issues or problems
- Finish surfaces according to established specifications including any touch-up work
- Lead preventative maintenance activities through out the wet paint area. Responsible for training others the correct methods and frequencies of maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area

Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years on-the-job or equivalent experience with wood finishing, working with sanding, prepping, staining and sealing of wood products.
- Experience with painting of wood, steel and aluminum products
- Able to train, lead, organize, and manage multiple projects
- Experience with equipment for mixing and painting methods
- Able to stand a considerable amount of time
- Able to climb stairs and ladders
- Able to occasionally lift 60-pound containers
- Able to push 1000 pounds on a cart
