- Developing, implementing, and evaluating communication plans using various communication channels appropriate for the target audience and with a health equity lens- Designing and editing complex documents, reports, and presentations- Developing and implementing regular and ongoing communication with stakeholders- Maintaining the CDPU web pages- Logistics for virtual and in-person training, meetings, and events- Maintaining email and mailing lists of partners for regular communication- Assisting with grant management- Initiating approval requests for dissemination of external information and meetings- Being a part of internal and external work groups necessary for maintaining oral and written communications between staff and partnering organizations
1-4 years
- Proven ability to act as a catalyst for positive change through collaboration and outreach
- A valid Wisconsin drivers license and the ability to travel and stay overnight- Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, website software (Drupal), communication software (Gov D), and other applications- Advanced skill in designing complex documents and materials using In-Design/Creative Cloud- Working knowledge of principles of effective communications and marketing including knowledge of public health/health promotion communication strategies- Ability to work independently and effectively under general supervision- Ability to establish/maintain effective collaborative relationships with various stakeholders- Ability to develop social media messages for multiple platforms- Effective problem-solving, time-management, and task-prioritization abilities- Ability to effectively plan, organize, and implement complex and lengthy projects involving coordination of people within and outside of the CDPU
