Responsibilities:
- Research state and federal regulations to analyze policy changes and assess their impact on healthcare providers and program members
- Collaborate with technical teams and software vendors to ensure claims processing and database systems align with current benefit policies
- Draft policy communications, implementation plans, and official responses regarding coverage and reimbursement questions
- Analyze large sets of healthcare claims and medical coding data using database tools and spreadsheets
- Serve as a subject matter expert in meetings with provider associations, state officials, and cross-functional project teams
Skills:
- Bachelor or master degree in public policy, healthcare administration, public health, or a related field preferred
- Demonstrated experience in policy analysis, research, or program administration within the healthcare sector
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with healthcare billing processes, including CPT, HCPCS, and ICD medical code sets
- Strong analytical skills with experience utilizing spreadsheets and database management tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex regulations to diverse groups
