The Innovation Center Maintenance Lead will be responsible for leading standard and preventive maintenance of pilot plant equipment, utilities, and lab assets and provide expert guidance in equipment modification and special setups for pilot plant trials. In this position, the Innovation Center Maintenance Lead will be expected to understand the general requirements for performing all aspects of the maintenance work, from running the preventive maintenance program throughunderstanding the Allen-Bradley programming. The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of food manufacturing, food quality, and workplace safety.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Support the technical center with daily maintenance tasks.- Have command of all software systems and databases used in pilot plant maintenance.- Plan, schedule, and execute preventative maintenance tasks and work order requests(mechanical and electrical).- Lead in executing CAPEX and standard purchase projects in the pilot plant by scoping /planning the work with contractors.- Safely operate power tools to do minor equipment modifications.- Manage spare parts.- Lead problem-solving activities of electrical and mechanical systems.- Integrate operational knowledge and safety, health, and environmental knowledge intoprojects.- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and local regulatory requirements.- Write work instructions and coach others on procedures and tasks.- Other assignments as needed.
7-10 years
- Some knowledge of the operation of the following equipment is a plus:UHTVarious PumpsCOP/CIP systemsBoilers and chillers/cooling towers.- Understand how to troubleshoot with and do minor program changes with Studio 5000(formerly RS Logix 5000) for Allen-Bradley ControlLogix-platform Processors, FactoryTalk View Studio ME for Allen-Bradley HMI's, Wonderware HMI software.- Ability to use AutoCAD or BricsCAD or equivalent for creating and modifying electrical and mechanical drawing (.dwg) files.
-High School Diploma required.- 7 years of maintenance experience, preferably in food processing, is a plus.- Steam Engineer license or at least one year as a boiler operator.- Possess all required safety certifications.- Understand how to interpret equipment, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.- Knowledge of basic engineering/food technology, e.g., hygienic design.- Self-motivated and able to think independently and work with minimal supervision.- Written and oral communication skills in the English language.- Basic office software skills - Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
