This is a long-term contract position with 4 weeks of paid time off annually. While some flexibility is available, you must be willing to work onsite in the Madison office 3-4 days per week.
In this pivotal administrative support role, you will serve as a key hub for operations and communication across BCS. From managing day-to-day logistics and coordinating IT needs, to supporting policy updates and staff onboarding, you'll help ensure the smooth operation of programs that support children and families in Wisconsin.
Youll collaborate closely with section managers, the director's office, and program staff, all while navigating a dynamic workload with professionalism and precision.
Responsibilities:
- Administrative Coordination: Manage scheduling, travel, inboxes, and logistics for meetings, conferences, and stakeholder events
- Communication & Documentation: Draft, format, and proof internal and external communications; ensure proper branding and compliance
- Operational Support: Process supply requests, track program data, post public notices, and manage document review workflows
- Technology Coordination: Facilitate IT access, support virtual meetings, and serve as a resource for hardware, software, and teleconferencing tools
- Policy & Process Development: Collaborate on internal procedures, organize program files and surveys, and maintain directories and contact lists
- Workplace Support: Lead onboarding tasks, respond to facilities needs, oversee shared spaces, and serve as Floor Captain for emergency procedures
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Word and Excel; experience with SharePoint or web-based platforms is a plus

Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2 years of administrative or program support experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage shifting priorities and multiple assignments
- A team player with initiative, professionalism, and a commitment to confidentiality
- Comfortable working in a cubicle office environment 3 to 4 days a week
