      Spherion Staffing is looking for candidates with 5 years' experience in manufacturing production planning. This position is responsible for working with the Master Planner, Product Ops Mgrs, Sales, Shop supervisor and production personnel to develop and maintain the production schedule for structural steel projects at the Fargo site.Direct Hire OpportunitySalary $60-70k/year DOEMonday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm (Friday, 6:00 am - 11:00 am)Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain a weekly production schedule- Provide workloads for production supervisors including job/project paperwork- Review documents such as production schedules, customer orders and staffing tables to determine personnel/material requirements or material priorities- Confer with department supervisors and other team members to assess progress and discuss needed changes- Revise production schedules when required - Work with Project Managers to determine load delivery sequencing to the customer- Work with Purchasing and Inventory Control to maintain inventories of raw materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands- Facilitate in weekly production meeting and determine the most efficient flow of work through the site- Provide leadership in maximizing utilization of the site's resources- Inform Site Operations Manager of ideas, changes, concerns and overall status of department progress on a consistent basis- Provide performance reports by product line, project, and timeframe- Complete monthly reporting, progress tracking, and throughput projections- May be involved in Management and maintenance of the Fabtrol software program- Make recommendations on upgrades and enhancementsResponsibilities:See aboveWorking hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PMSkills:Requirements:-Industrial Engineering/Logistics/Manufacturing degree preferred-Minimum of 5 years of related experience preferred-Excellent computer skills-General knowledge of drafting standards, steel material products, purchasing, shipping/receiving, shipping equipment, and fabrication standards-Ability to read blue prints-Strong attention to detail-Leadership and management training or experience-Experience in scheduling multiple tasks-Excellent communication skills-Understanding of internal controls-Excellent organizational and analytical skills-Ability to work effectively with all departments and other divisionsEducation:BachelorsExperience:4-7 yearsQualifications:See above To be considered, please apply online at www.spherion.com/apply or email your resume to leighnelson@spherion.comSpherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
