This position provides timely and detailed analysis to support the Corporate Controller and will be poised for advancement as supported by both personal achievements and those of the company. Ideal candidates will exhibit a high level of professionalism in administration, organizational, technical, and communication skills. The successful applicant will be a self-starter with initiative, have proven abilities to be proactive and follow through, and appropriately handle confidential materials and information. This position will be a conduit between senior accounting leadership and staff positions which requires the ability to learn the systems in place, develop streamlined processes and controls and ensuring that accounting staff adheres and approaches workflows with a continuous improvement continuum.Responsibilities:Responsible for accurate and timely general ledger reconciliation through to Financial Statement preparation to ensure compliance with corporate and tax reporting policies and maintain an efficient and timely month-end close. Research and work inter-departmentally with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and improve controls and workflows. Ability to document and maintain control procedures as system and personnel changes evolve. Assist with audits, tax and periodic financial reporting to external stakeholders. Conduct regular analysis of general ledger to ensure correct coding of revenue and expense postings. Prepare monthly reconciliations to all balance sheet accounts Analyze, track and report on targeted budget to actual variances and identify trends to suggest alternatives or corrective actions. Prepare Rhino weekly management reports. Prepare monthly variance reporting, monthly budgeting reporting. Assist with the preparation of the annual budget. Miscellaneous responsibilities as delegated.Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PMSkills:-Self-starter with ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams to produce effective results.-Excellent written and verbal skills and ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.-Exceptional organizational skills, ability to multi-task and successfully manage time and commitments to meet project deadlines.-Proven track record of establishing and maintaining efficient and effective processes-Ability to learn quickly and troubleshoot issues independentlyEducation:BachelorsExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred, experience may be considered in lieu of education.Minimum 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant, specifically performing similar listed duties. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, emphasis on Excel. Experience ERP systems is required. Prior experience with ERP system implementation and conversion, Crystal Reports and other analytical software are favorable.Ability to operate with discretion and confidentiality, tact, independent judgement, flexibility, dependability, and accountability.
