      A local nursery/Farm is looking to hire a hard working and reliable individual that has a great attitude.There is a lot of room for growth in this position for a hardworking individual that has a good attitude and shows up. The company could provide use of a company truck for the right person, full benefits and 401k.Responsibilities:Operates heavy equipment and performs general farm and ranch maintenance. The primary focus for the spring and summer is being a part of the hay crew cutting, raking, baling and stacking hay (with equipment). In the fall and winter, you will run and loader and or a roll off truck to move the trimmings from strawberry plants to another location. Hours will vary, during strawberry season we work six days a week. During hay season we try to keep work to Monday through Friday, however sometimes Nature does not co-operate.Other Responsibilities:1. Upon approval of Hay Division manager, purchases supplies and parts. 2. May be temporarily assigned to other field locations.3. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.Working hours: Various Shifts AvailableSkills:1. Operates heavy equipment including but not limited to big rig trucks, backhoes, bulldozers, tractors, hay harvesting equipment and forklifts.2. Under general supervision, services and performs preventative maintenance on vehicles and farm equipment.3. Performs basic farm and ranch upkeep and maintenance.Working Conditions:This job is primarily outside most tractors have cabs but be prepared for all weather conditions. In the winter we do try to work in the shop servicing and repairing equipment. We do work some nights and weird hours; the hours will be communicated as best as possible in advance. If travel is required the company will provide transportation, housing and meals according to the company guidelines.Education:TradeExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:1. Have a minimum of two years??? experience operating heavy equipment such as backhoe, bulldozer, tractors of various makes and models.2. Possess and maintain a valid California Class A driver???s license.3. General farm and ranch maintenance 4. Have experience repairing and servicing vehicles and farm equipment.5. Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 pounds (parts and equipment).
