      Spherion is seeking a Quality Assurance Tech in Midland, MI! This is a position that provides inspection and testing, analysis, and reporting to support manufacturing and engineering, including assistance in the resolution of problems and handling non-conforming products. At this time, the position is estimated to be for a 6-month assignment. Starting compensation is $16-17/hr depending on experience. Hours are 7:30am-3:30pm Monday-Friday. Interested candidates should possess a High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of 1 year relevant experience working in quality assurance or measurement technician related work.Responsibilities:Inspect, Measure, and Test parts through the Work Request process, including any special requests made by management using vision systems, mechanical inspection devices, coordinate measurement machines, or other testing equipment.Analyze inspection results through the Work Request process, including any special requests made by management.Write comprehensive, professional reports in a logical and coherent manner.Inspect and Measure incoming parts and materials, including documenting results, creating reports, and communicating with affected personnel related to non-conformances and problem resolution.Review designs, to ensure key product features are measureable and able to achieve capability requirements.Facilitate the prioritization of work requests.Facilitate Non-Conformance Reports, NCR/MRB database maintenance, disposition, and problem resolution.Other duties as assigned.Skills:Excellent attention to detail: Must be able to discern shades of color and color differences relating to component parts used in the manufacturing processComputer skills including proficiency with MS OfficeKnowledge and ability to program and operate measurement devices such as coordinate measuring machines, vision systems, and other complex inspection equipmentDemonstrated basic math and statistic skills, ability to read decimals into the thousandths, and understanding of measurement conversionsMust be able to analyze data statistically, and reach valid conclusionsBasic knowledge of product drawings and GD&T.Demonstrated ability to take initiative and to seek assistance when appropriateWilling to work on all shifts as assignedPositive teamwork attitude and excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to read, write, and understand EnglishQualifications:High School Diploma/ GED and a minimum 1 year experience working in Quality Assurance or Measurement Technician related work.Must have reliable transportationMust comply with Spherion's Drug Free Workplace and disclose relevant criminal history at the time of hire.Are you looking for some work in Quality Assurance in Midland?
