The Manager sells fresh poultry and builds relationships that provide value to our New and existing customers in order to achieve financial and business objectives that align with company's core values and culture. The Manager position is a product sales role for poultry within the designated territory generally the East coast area and some mid-west.
Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed sales goals within assigned geographical area
- Effectively manage territory expenses according to budget
- Maintain a high level of forecast accuracy
- Professionally represent employer at all relevant industry events
- Build long-term strategic relationships that are mutually beneficial for the company and the customer
- Conduct regular visits/meetings with key personnel and decision makers to increase the conversion rate
- Become a SME (Subject Matter Expert) regarding the poultry industry
- Educate customers on products and trends in the industry
- Entertain customers during sponsored events
- Build and maintain trust and rapport
- Complete all administrative responsibilities in an accurate and timely manner:
- Effectively utilize CRM for reporting and inventory updates.
- Submit expense reports that are timely and accurate
- Ensure the sales forecast is timely and accurate
- Communicate, collaborate and coordinate internal partners to achieve customer, business, and financial objectives
- Prioritize using personal communication (phone calls) above emails and conference calls.
- Identify and manage business in two groups; Current and New customers
- Structure monthly and quarterly goals/plans to achieve annual goals
- Maintain knowledge of company's products as well as competitors as a means of self-improvement
- Communicate industry needs to leadership
- Coordinate customer meetings
- Maintain a professional and ethical image

This position will require travel. Will be a road warrior. 60-75% of the time. South, Southeastern and Midwest United States. Some travel by automobile and some by flying.
