      Spherion is seeking a Packer/ Box Builder to join the team of a local manufacturing facility in Iowa Park, TX! You will be responsible for inspecting and packaging quality fabricated and machined parts in an efficient manner, according to packaging instructions and quality control procedures. Ideal candidates will be punctual and have some experience working in a light industrial environment. Schedule is Friday-Sunday 5am-5pmResponsibilities:- LISTEN AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS- CONSISTENTLY FOLLOW COMPANY POLICIES (SAFETY AND CONDUCT)- ASK QUESTIONS WHEN YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND- LEARN AND CROSSTRAIN IN OTHER OPERATIONS WITHIN DEPARTMENT- CONSISTENTLY USE AND CARE FOR QUALITY CONTROL TOOLS- HOUSEKEEPING. CONSISTENTLY KEEP WORK STATION CLEAN AND WELL-ORGANIZED- KNOW AND CONSISTENTLY FOLLOW MANUALS (QC AND PACKING INSTRUCTIONS)- CONSISTENTLY MAINTAIN ACCURACY AND TIMELINESS OF PRODUCTION AND QUALITY REPORTS (LEGIBILITY COUNTS)- CONTINUOUSLY INSPECT PARTS FOR DEFECTS PER QUALITY CONTROL PROCEDURES- REPORT ANY DEFECTS/DAMAGED PARTS TO LEAD PERSON AND/OR SUPERVISOR- ENSURE PARTS ARE CLEAN OF EXCESSIVE DIRT/LUBRICANT AND REPORT DISCREPENCIES TO LEAD PERSON OR SUPERVISOR - MAKE SURE THAT PACKED BOXES ARE LABELED CORRECTLY, CONTAIN THE PROPER HARDWARE & COUNT AND ALL NECESSARY LABELS, STICKERS, AND INSTRUCTIONS. - ENSURE THAT ALL PACKED MINOR BOXES ARE CHECKED BY LEAD PERSON OR SUPERVISOR BEFORE CLOSING- WHEN CLOSED, PLACE MINOR BOXES INTO MASTER IN CORRECT ORIENTATION- PLACE MASTER BOXES ON PALLETS NEATLY AND ENSURE THAT THEY HAVE BEEN CHECKED BY LEAD PERSON BEFORE CLOSING - COMPLETE ALL NECESSARY PAPERWORK AND ENTER DAILY PRODUCTION DATA IN COMPANY DATABASE. - PARTICIPATE IN DEPARTMENT PRODUCTION AND SAFETY MEETINGS AS REQUIREDWorking hours: 5:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:Ability to accurately read a ruler/tape measureMust be able to work in a team oriented environmentMust be able to work under minimal supervisionAbility to multitask as necessaryEducation:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:Previous experience in the light industrial field preferredMust have your own reliable transportation to and from work siteMust submit to background check and drug screen.
