      Spherion Staffing is hiring an Industrial Data Analyst to begin work in Columbia City, IN.This is a direct-hire opportunity!Shift and Pay:Monday - Friday 7/8AM - 4/5PM (can be flexible)Starting salary is $50,000 or more based on experienceResponsibilities:Job Summary:the Industrial Data Analyst is responsible for driving the adoption of solutions that provide real-time data in a usable format to help with decision-making and critical business planning. He/she will support digitalizing manufacturing and business process to create a Smart Factory environment, increasing productivity and improving efficiency. The Industrial Data Analyst performs system management and integrations functions, improves existing computer systems and reviews computer system capabilities, workflow, and schedule limitations.Duties include but are not limited to:Drive Operational Efficiency:- Drive smart manufacturing initiatives at the largest manufacturing location.- Drive adoption and value creation from the company's state-of-the-art manufacturing intelligence platform and create best practices for adoption in other manufacturing sites.- Drive the usage of data to pursue continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging the Altra Business System (ABS), to ensure technology adoption supports the company???s strategy and goals.- Work closely with the production team to integrate existing manufacturing management software designed to derive insights from manufacturing processes and quality control.- Create/manage different types of databases such as SAP, SQL, and Postgres.Liaise with the SAP COE team:- Identify and document critical fields in SAP master data and ensure data is kept sufficiently clean.- Help identify and develop common SAP procedures/best practices and provide end user training for all North America.- Monitor and fix data issues within the ERP system for the critical fields identified.- Coordinate changes to the ERP system with the end users as well as the SAP COE team.- Apply and recommend Lean practices.Liaise with central IT team based in South Beloit, IL:- Help image and set up PCs for the various users both Columbia City and New Hartford.- Manage PC list and track rotation of PCs in both Columbia City and New Hartford.- Be local contact for South Beloit IT team at the plant.Working hours: Various Shifts AvailableSkills:- A passion for problem solving and a strong willingness to take initiative.- Curiosity and a "go and see" approach toward work.- Active listening: Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate.- Critical thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.- Systems analysis: Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.- People skills: Ability to work well with others as part of a team and both take direction as well as provide guidance to individuals. - Self-starter: Ability to work independently without a ton of oversight while providing updates to management on progress of key initiatives.- Intermediate knowledge of IT hardware/software systems, experience with these tools in a manufacturing environment is a plus.Education:BachelorsExperience:4-7 yearsQualifications:- Bachelor???s degree, required; degree concentration in Business Administration, Computer Science or Accounting is preferred- 3+ years of ERP and/or MES systems experience required, SAP is a plus- Basic programing and ability to troubleshoot database issues a plus (Linux, Python, SQL, Power BI or equivalents) Apply Today!
