      Calibration Technician -12 month contract positionResponsibilities:o Test, calibrate or coordinate measuring instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards or calibration instructions. Equipment will vary based on the business operations. Assist document controller to maintain and distribute controlled copies of latest approved document.o Maintain the calibration system and assists in other calibration activities.o Establish and maintain procedures to complete in-house calibrationso Maintain calibration database and records including generating monthly reports where necessary.o Coordinate outside services to complete calibration activities.o Maintain records to ensure compliance to GMP/ISO requirements and support internal/external audit of the calibration department.o Interface with other departments concerning measuring and inspection guidance when required.o Responsible for tracking all calibrations electronically.o Maintain the instrument and equipment calibration files.o Work with outside vendors to schedule and perform external calibrations.o May write calibration procedures for new plant instruments and equipment.o Revise existing calibration procedures as needed.o Plan sequence of testing and calibration procedures for instruments and equipment.o Maintain accurate and up-to-date calibration records. Enter new equipment information into the master schedule to ensure files are created and routine calibration work orders are created prior to the expiration of calibration. A break and lunch space not far from where you'll be workingResponsibilities:-Coordinate the movement, storage, and placement of all materials-Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the ERP system of all material transactions -Ensure timely restocking and accurate inventory placement of all materials-Supervise and coordinate the preparation of materials for production work orders, vendor-managed goods, and internal requests for materials-Maintain ERP inventory, locations and ensure transaction accuracy-Manage the daily and long-term staffing needs-Develop and train all functional area employees-Represent the department in all inter-departmental functions related to inventory control issues and procedures-Maintain timely and accurate employee performance reviews and administer associated human resource policies-Perform periodic reporting and accounting of inventory variances, inventory accuracy, back flush logs and serial number logs-Determine space requirements and assist in the layout of the Warehouse department to provide optimum material flow-Coordinate the activities of company truck driver -Assist in the removal and disposal of scrap materials-Provide guidance with respect to outside storage of materials, pallets and other equipment or goodsWorking hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 AMSkills:-Interpersonal and organizational skills-Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment-Knowledge and use of Supply Chain Logistic Concepts-Knowledge of SAP-Well versed with MRP systems and able to understand all aspects of material transactions-Ability to interface and communicate professionally with all levels of management, production, sales, engineering-Ability to function in a fast paced, constantly changing environment-Ability to obtain forklift certificationEducation:AssociateExperience:4-7 yearsQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent 4 years' experience inventory control or materials within a manufacturing environment2 years supervisory experience Apply NowSpherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
