They will also be responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and professional packaging, shipping, and receiving of various items needed for production process.Responsibilities:-Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper areas.-Operate hand tools, crimp tools, etc. to prepare packaging. -Operate banders. - Load materials onto trucks -Examine and route shipments in the department, rejects damaged items for shipment, and correspond with shipping clerks and supervisors to rectify any issues in the department related to shipments. -May perform computer functions necessary to track aspects of shipped materials. -Report defective materials or questionable conditions to department supervisor. -Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times. -Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. -Other duties may be assigned based on the needs of the business.
