      Accounting and Payroll AdministratorThe Accounting and Payroll Administrator is responsible for a wide variety of accounting and Human Resources responsibilities at Midstate Collection Solutions. Qualified candidates will have previous experience in several of the following functions: accounting, finance, bookkeeping, HR, and payroll.Responsibilities:Performs routine administration and support for payroll services and end to end timekeeping system activities to enable accurate, timely and compliant payroll processes.Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employee?s hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other confidential information.Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date mannerPerform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing paymentsPerform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognitionPrepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of dataConduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as needed basisInterpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standardsWorking hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMSkills:Strong verbal and written communication skillsProficient skills in QuickBooks and Microsoft ExcelExperience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledgerEducation:AssociateExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:3-5 years relevant experience working in accounting, bookkeeping and/or HR2+ years experience in timecard management and payrollThorough knowledge and understanding of GAAPHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detail working with confidential financial and personnel informationApply at spherion.com/apply/75102 or call 217-359-4488 for more informationSpherion has helped thousands of people just like you find work happiness!
