Essentially, the Supervisor would be responsible for the health and safety of the employees, manage the company's waste streams, leading and developing subordinates.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain an effective productions system that exceed or meet all of our customer?s quality expectations and maintain superior on time shipping performance.To continuously improve our operations and to achieve our gross margin expectations.Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.Work with Scheduling to plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems or complaints.Enforce safety rules.Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign employee training to experienced workers.Requisition materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services.Recommend or execute personnel actions.Perform other tasks as needed to respond to changing work requirements.Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PMSkills:Minimum of 5 years' experience as a machinist.Ability to work as part of a team with other departments to complete customer orders.Demonstrated ability to lead people and foster a well-trained and motivated work group.Familiarity with ISO 9001 requirements desired.Education:High SchoolExperience:4-7 yearsQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required.
